Bumble bee`s
Creche Hermelijntje is a private child nursery with 9 establishments in The Hague and Voorburg. Owner and manager is Heleen de Jong (remedial educationalist) Crèche Hermelijntje offers childcare to children aged 0 up to 4 years. Children of the same age are placed in their own age (baby -, toddler- or pre-schooler) group. Our establishments are open daily from 7.30 until 18.00. Besides professional childcare by our staff, we also offer meals and diapers.

Crèche Hermelijntje is a safe childcare centre licensed by the GGD (Department of Community Services) and the fire brigade.

The parents

Bumble bee parents have one thing in common: they do not work and live in their country of origin. In a short period they have to get used to a new life in the Netherlands. By offering childcare to an international group, Crèche Hermelijntje gives expat-parents the opportunity to meet each other and exchange experience.

The children

Children aged 2-4 develop fine and gross motor, cognitive and social skills very fast. Playing, eating and talking with each other stimulates them to learn faster and share more. They mostly communicate in their `` own`` language and usually learn the basics of Dutch in a short time.

Daily routine

The daily routine of the Bumble bee group is entirely based on the necessities of the children. You can bring your child (ren) between 7.30 and 9.30 after which they have breakfast together. They eat fruit and drink juice. We pay special attention to toilet hygiene and potty training. In the morning there are planned indoor / outdoor activities (craft, construction, climbing frame etc.) Lunch starts at 11.30 and children are served sandwiches and milk. Eating together has got a positive effect on children who do not eat much at Bumblebee . After lunch they sleep / rest in the same room where there is always a teacher present. In the afternoon there is plenty of time for a snack and various activities such as playing, dancing and singing together. You can pick up your child (ren) from 15.30 and that is the end of a ``Hermelijntjedagje``.
